*WE RACE WITH BURRIS TIRES ONLY!*

Strip Pit Speedway abides by WKA Speedway Dirt Series Rules unless otherwise noted in track rules.

1. A driver meeting will be held prior to each racing event. The flagman will conduct the meeting. It is mandatory that all drivers attend the meeting to familiarize themselves with the track rules.

2. The start of a race is not official until all karts have completed (1) lap. Any accident that occurs during the first lap will result in a complete re-start.

3. There will only be (2) attempts to start a race. After (2) attempts have been made, it will be the flagman's call if the field will go to a single file start or if the problem kart/karts will be put to the tail.

4. Once your kart leaves the staging area for your race, you will not be allowed to do any maintenance work that involves tools on the track, or return to the staging area or pits for service. No use of weight adjusters will be allowed during a race or during a yellow flag, this includes turning of the chassis adjustments or moving spacers. Air pressure may be decreased provided no tools are used.

5. If an incident occurs after the start of the race (rule 2) and any kart has stopped, bringing out a yellow caution flag, the kart/karts that caused the yellow, directly or indirectly, meaning that if one kart hits another kart, causing a spin out, the kart responsible for causing the spin will go to the rear of the field  or will be given the black flag at the discretion of the flagman.  All other karts will be lined up according to their positions in the previous completed lap.

6. If an incident (MOTOR DIES, ETC.) occurs under the yellow while the official is on the track, stopping karts to re-align the field, all karts will be allowed to re-start in their proper position without penalty. Provided they can re-start within (2) laps.

7. Black Flag - Means you are disqualified! You must exit the track immediately. If you receive a safety black flag, during a heat race you will be placed at the rear of the field for the consi or feature race.

8. All karts that are racing when a Red Flag incident occurs will be permitted to re-start their engines. Those karts causing the red flag will be permitted to re-start on the rear of the field. No mechanical work will be permitted during a red flag. Minor adjustments will be allowed to the karts involved in the incident, but no tools may be used. No karts will be allowed to enter the pits and then return to the track.

9. Any kart involved in or causing (3) yellow or (2) red flags will be disqualified from the race.

10. If a yellow or red flag incident takes place during the white flag lap, the race is over. Scoring will revert to the previous lap, consisting of - placing the red flag involved karts to the rear of the field according to their position in the previous lap.

11. In the event a driver is involved in a red flag accident, he/she will not be permitted to continue racing until released by the medical technician on duty and the kart deemed safe by the tech personnel.

12. When the karts have left the staging area, karts will take one (1) lap before starting the race; the race will start at the marked cone. If all karts are not together at the cone, it will be the flagman's decision to put them to the tail. In the event that all karts scheduled on the line-up board are not on the track, karts will move directly forward. There will be no criss-crossing of the line-up during heat or feature races.

13. It is the intent of Strip Pit Speedway to provide family entertainment. Flagrant breaking of the rules, unruly conduct, or abusive language to anyone will result in disqualification.

14. Once the staged karts have left the staging area of the track, no persons - except track personnel - will be allowed beyond the fencing.

15. All karts must have at least 6" numbers. Panels must be placed on the front, rear, and both sides of your kart, and clearly legible by the scorers.  If your numbers are not legible from the scorer's tower you will be asked to change them IMMEDIATELY following that race. If you choose to ignore the request, you will not be scored.

16. All drivers will be required to wear long sleeves, long pants, helmets and neck braces at all times during the race. Loss of any of this safety equipment during the race will result in disqualification.

17. All drivers will be required to sign a "Release and Hold Harmless Agreement." Parent(s) or guardian(s) must sign for a minor under the age of 18 years before he/she will be allowed to race.

18. All weights must be securely bolted to kart with 5/16" bolts, painted white and have the kart number. No more than 10lbs. per bolt.

19. All karts must weigh at the end of their heats and features regardless if you finish the race or not. Failure to do so will result in disqualification for that race.

20. The decisions of the flagman and/or scorer's table are final . Approaching either during or after a race to argue a call will result in disqualification for that race.

21. All youth class drivers must have a copy of their birth certificate on file. A driver will be allowed (2) events to produce a copy of their birth certificate. After this time the driver will be suspended from racing until they do so.

22. Wolf Plate is mandatory on all karts. Snell 95 rated or better helmet is required.

23. Fire retardant suit is  highly recommended in all classes.

24. All karts are subject to safety inspection before entering the track by Tech personnel or designated track official.

25. The track will have the option to do random inspections (referred to as "teching") of karts or engines in any class. Randomly "teched" classes will be selected by draw at the end of the feature races. The top (2) karts form each class will be held in the impound area provided, until the draw for "tech" is completed. Then karts not involved in any "teching" procedures will be allowed to leave the impound area. Karts leaving the impound area before the draw, except to be in another race, will be disqualified.

26. Youth class restrictor plate "tech" may be requested for a $5.00 tech fee per kart. A fuel or oil tech may be requested in any class, youth or adult.

27. TECHNICAL PROTEST - If a participant in any class feels that another in his/her class is not running a legal engine, he/she may file a protest form after the weigh-in. It must be filed within 10 minutes of the conclusion for your race. Engine protests must be accompanied by a $100.00 protest fee and filed in writing. All efforts will be made to keep the protester anonymous; however, he/she must remain at the race site until the tear down is complete.

If either party leaves, the protest will be considered void. Protest forms are for motor tear down only and are available from Director of competition or Tech inspector.

28. Any engine protested will immediately be taken to the impound area. They will remain in the impound area until the tech process is deemed completed by the track's tech personnel. The protester will be required to post a $100.00 protest fee to have the engine teched. If tech personnel find the engine legal, the protested will receive $50.00 of the protester's fee, the tech man will receive $50.00 of the protester's fee. If the tech personnel finds the motor illegal the protester will receive $50.00 and the tech man will receive $50.00. The driver of the illegal engine will be disqualified. If a driver removes his/her kart from the impound area, the driver will be disqualified and all points and/or awards will be forfeited for the day. Refusal of tech will result in loss of all money and points for that evening and will be suspended from one racing event.

29. All teams are required to have a working fire extinguisher, the disposable type will be allowed.

30. All heat races must be complete, before rain or bad weather, to be eligible for points and awards. If the heat races are not complete, the event/events will be considered a rain-out and will be re-scheduled.

Strip Pit Speedway will keep a copy on file; you will not need to bring a copy every year. One copy will cover you until you move to an adult class.
